Acting Tip: Don’t End Sentences in the Basement!

Speak Every Word Clearly
Dray Says: Speak Up

Kids, what I mean is… please do not drop your words or drop your voice at the end of the sentence. SAY THE WORDS CLEARLY. This is a major “no no” and seems to be very common with kids auditioning or acting. TV writers and screenwriters are paid to write every word so please articulate every word… all the way to the period!

Even adult actors may need to “Stay Out of the Basement.” How many times have you had to rewind a recorded program to try and figure out the last few words of an actor’s sentence?

Remember, speak up!
